A message to all members from the Chairman……..

Fixtures for the 2016 season are in and will be posted to the site calendar as soon as possible.

The AGM was on Friday 29th January at 8pm in the cricket club everyone is welcome.

Ian Dawes was elected as our new First Team & Club Captain can you all help him settle into his new role, indoor nets will start soon & there will be lots to do to get the club ready for the new season .

The start of the season CRICKET FORCE is on the1-3rd April please bring a paint brush

The New teams & extra Junior fixtures.  Next year we will run 1st 2nd 3rd & 4th senior teams + a New Junior under 15 20/20 midweek team with the U13s in Div A & U11 & U10 as normal please visit the Junior Parents Page for more details

This will mean a greater Work load for the ground team & we have to find a way to help him out

Well lets face it groundsman Greg Munslow has a busy job but still finds time to prepare at least one wicket a week; the coaches have jobs but still find time to help many kids (some of who are now playing senior cricket) and arrange and attend junior games and Jon Steer has a busy job but still finds time to keep the bar stocked and open several times a week.

The list goes on – vice-chairman Roger Evlyn-Bufton doesn’t play but still finds time running around – though not literally! – to make sure we have four teams out at the week-end.  I’m also not forgetting Godfrey Temperton, who spends hours up at Church Road doing jobs that need doing but probably go unnoticed and Ray Price who cuts the outfield without fail so the players hardly have anything to do. There are others I haven’t mentioned but I, and they, know who they are. Thank you.

We still have faith in you.

Ian
