All 2011 matches are now complete.
League Result
2011 was a year of change for Lilleshall’s u13 squad with a large number of experienced boys moving up to the u15 squad. This cycle of change is one that affects all clubs and such an exodus of experience always affects performance in matches. Having said that, for a fairly small squad of just over a dozen lads, the class of 2012 did pretty well and put in some good performances. As their manager Andy Holdroyd put it, ‘managing to come second in the majority of their matches’ and finishing 7th out of 11 in the East Shrosphire Cricket Board u13B League Table. They played eight matches, winning just one against Madeley. League tables are available via the blog.
Many of these lads will remain at u13 next season and there is a wealth of ability coming up from u11s so the future looks bright for Lilleshall’s junior section. For those progressing to u15s next year, we are sure they will enjoy the transition to the longer 40 over version of the game and the new challenges this brings.
